Idiot

Idiot will be released on April 1, 2018.

Idiot, by Holly Smith

Idiot is a powerful coming of age story about a girl who beats the odds and moves between two worlds from a drug addicted mother to a nurturing adoptive family. Idiot forces you think about the choices we're all destined to make and strikes a perfect balance between love and loss.

Although Idiot was inspired by a true story, it is entirely a work of fiction. So many women could write stories of their own abuse and struggle trying to blend into young adulthood. This book transitions the reader from a young and unknowing girl to a beautiful young woman and provides a unique glimpse into the private life of Eva Langston through her diary entries.

This story was written with the hope it may help others ease into and through difficult transitions. Although abuse never goes away, it is sometimes dealt with in a manner that allows survivors to move forward and blossom.

This work is dedicated to all young people who haven’t yet found their way.

Best Juice yet

I am totally loving my juicer. Will likely never buy store bought juice again. This mixture is beet, dandelion, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, spinach, cantaloupe, apple, pear, ginger, orange, and lemon. Mmm... Mmmm... Mmmmm...

Pickles, Pickles, Pickles...

Pickles, pickles, pickles:)... Fresh cukes and dill from our garden. Still figuring out the whole garlic thing, but will get it eventually!

Culmination

I believe I killed it with this novel... It's a Sci-Fi, Post Apocalyptic novel available through www.masonmarshall.com. Culmination is the story of what might happen to people faced with difficult and disturbing decisions as the world falls apart around them.

Esther the Wonder Pig...

If you haven't taken the plunge and purchased the book, Esther the Wonder Pig, you should. It's a beautiful tale about a wonderful couple who rescue a 650 lb pig. I read it in one sitting; I couldn't put it down...

Newest Creations...

So... These are my latest creations. I used 100+ year old wood from an hold home on our property. I collected the rocks from Oregon beaches with the exception of the amethyst, which I tumbled to give it a finished look. I hung some of these flower boards beside a barn quilt I painted. Fun, fun...

Another Barn Quilt Knocked Out....

And... Another one bites the dust, lol:). Just gotta figure out where I want to hang this one...

Newest Barn Quilts...

Finally got my two newest barn quilts hung:).

Ayla... My steady-Eddie:).

Ayla is my heart horse... Haven't really ridden her in 2 years. Got on her yesterday and it was like no time had lapsed at all:). This is what happens when you combine good breeding, a great training foundation, trust, and love. I spend a lot of time with her, but just haven't ridden in a while. Going to be focusing on getting back into horse shape over the next two months...

Barn Quilt on Horse Run In

I got the newest barn quilt hung on the horse's run in shelter. Of course, Paisley is under foot, as always:).

Duck, Guinea, and Chicken Eggs

I LOVE the huge eggs our ducks give us. Our larger hens also lay quite sizable eggs, but nothing compared with the ducks...
