Newest Creations...

So... These are my latest creations. I used 100+ year old wood from an hold home on our property. I collected the rocks from Oregon beaches with the exception of the amethyst, which I tumbled to give it a finished look. I hung some of these flower boards beside a barn quilt I painted. Fun, fun...

Garden Gate

Family project...

My hubby, father in law, and I had a blast building and decorating our garden gate yesterday. We love whimsical and "different" looking gates and can't wait to construct the one for our orchard.

This project was especially interesting, fun, and "do-able" for my elderly father in law (who lives with us). He was able to have "almost full" creative freedom placing the driftwood pieces. I say "almost full" creative freedom because my OCD husband had to give his input at times, lol.

The driftwood is from the beaches of Oregon. Hubby and I spent much time combing the beaches when we lived in Oregon (we REALLY MISS Oregon). YES... We moved the driftwood with us when we relocated to the east coast.

The heart shaped rock were also found on the Oregon coast and made the move as well. I love collecting and finding the heart shaped rocks while "hubby" loves finding unique pieces of driftwood.

Fun day, all-in-all!!!

Diggin up Rocks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9mYYdHb4ic

Instead of singing the Randy Travis song, "Diggin up bones, I'm diggin up bones," I should be singing, "Diggin up rocks, I'm diggin up rocks." lol..... Been digging up rocks all morning to use to make the base for my tack room.

I am using the japanese hori hori tool that I use almost DAILY and LOVE. It is the most versatile thing ever.

My back is hurting, and fingers are cracking, but I am taking a nice pizza break and then back out to hunt rocks...
